Why Do Powerful Women have Fewer Affairs?

With a new sexual indescretion discovered in American politics almost every week, it would seem that affairs are almost par for the course among powerful men. Indeed, evidence suggests that for every $10,000 increase in salary a man earns, his likelihood of having an affair increases too. A recent article on Politico.com asked "in an age where so many male politicians are caught out for having affairs, why do powerful women  have so few?" It's a great piece by Melanie Mason with answers ranging from the biological aversion of women from risking pregnancy with someone who will not provide for the child to the the fact that while powerful men are wildly attractive to women, powerful women are not as attractive to men, to the fact that there are just fewer powerful women in most industries to my own personal favourite.. "who has the time?" - the battle cry of many a juggling working woman! Why do you think powerful women are less likely to get caught up in affairs?
